John began his career at GCSE (one of the predecessor firms to Segal GCSE LLP) as a co-op student at the University of Toronto’s Master of Management and Professional Accounting program (MMPA).

Starting as an associate in the Assurance department, he took advantage of the breadth of exposure to various service areas within the firm to switch to the Tax group in 2020.

John strives to provide exemplary client service through a high level of care and technical detail. He supports clients with tax compliance, advising on complex tax issues and implementing tax planning strategies.

In his spare time, John continues to build his team and leadership skills by competing with friends in marathons such as the Toronto Waterfront Marathon, playing bass guitar and leading a book club.
